A couple of decades ago, we and our office mates were on team building. We climbed Mt Matutum in South Cotabato. Unfamiliar with the procedures and customs of the place, we climbed the mountain without permit from the Barangay and the Tribal communities. We were sort of arrested and invited to their
head quarters (the tribal communities, indigenous people etc) And we were asked why we were there?
"Where we on a treasure hunting expeidtion?" Why are you climbing the mountain?"
Indeed that was a very thoughtful and insightful question? Unless we could give a logical and coherent reply, we could be held there... Well we sort of bribed the leaders by giving them coffee, sugar, creamer and some cash to squirm out of the predicament. All we could give was pasyal adventure. Because it is there....
So why are we facicng challenges, why are we dreaming big dreams?
For self aggrandizement, ego trip, gusto lang.... Indeed why? Why would an adventurer pay $10,000 just for a permit to climb Mt. Everest and risk his own life doing so? Why
