The Japanese have a word for this - Sunnao. Empty your cup. When your cup is full, the extra tea or water you pour in runneth over. For you to progress in this world, to be better, you have open your ears and your mind and your heart to accept new things.
The cup is useful only if it is empty
You can only do this if you are humble. Humility precedes wisdom and knowledge
When you go to college, what is is important is not what you learn, but how you learn... What you learn will grow old and obsolete. But when you know how to learn, you will keep on adding more new things to your brain.
Never fear that you will go crazy filling in your head with new learning. Our brain can accept Terabytes of knowledge and infinitely more with our neurons interconnected with one another. Our brain capacity exceeds the capacity of a thousand computers gathered together...
