Former Federal Reserve Bank Governor Alan Greenspan keenly observed that if the officers of a company especially lost its sense of value, as good corporate citizen (as with scams and thefts massive fraud and misrepresentation) then it destroys the economic value in a society or country.
For a thing that non quantitative as honesty and integrity to be contributing to losses may be hard for others to reflect is true. When officers in company are selfish and wish only to have profits at the expense of others do not create wealth or value. They destroy it.
