Keeping work places /business establishments clean

July 3, 2019

Urban legend has it that a CEO of a huge fast food company (now a transnational) visited a branch in the north and seeing a piece of  trash calmly picked it up and placed this in a trash can. The story further says that ever since that day, the branch kept its work place very clean and got prizes for this feat...

When you visit Japan, visitors swear by the cleanliness of its cities? Why?  They teach 5s in factories, and in schools, the children are trained in scrubbing (cleanliness) and orderliness.

The prerequisite to quality work and products is the 5s for which Japan is well known for.

According to an owner of jeepney assembly  plant in Muzon, he said that a company that cant pay for a sweeper or a janitor to keep its premises clean, is probably bankrupt and/or its owner does not manage it well...

Think about this:  Is your company bankrupt, or has its head/officers started neglecting the business?
