This  was the famous line from a well known marketer.  To succeed, to meet your goal, first you have satisfy the goals of others:  your employees, and ka nego....

For employees:   1.  Praise, reward the doers

                         2.  Have parties with awardings

                         3.  Employee of the month;

                         4. Birthday, greetings, thank you, pat on the back

                         5. Mentor, train them

                        6. Give them moral support, help them out with personal problems

Business associates/suppliers

                        1. Also greet them on their birthdays and anniversaries

                       2.  Pay them on time

                      3. Be courteous and likeable always

                     4.  In a deal, be generous with the numbers... Midas touch.  Every body should be
                          happy.

Govt technocrats, and bureaucrats or who are entrepreneurial and want to get rich quick make it known what they want. Sock it to them.  Live with the pigs in a pig sty.... So that you too will get what you want:  permits,, license, franchise... I learned it the hard way when I was applying for a franchise of CATV, my friends and relatives in the SB gave the franchise to the one who has a higher offer.

Corollary to this is the favorite radio station of many:  DWIFM.   WHAT IS THIS FOR ME... They are tuned to this all the time.  

However I am perplexed that in our organization where I offered 1.5% of the gross collection, people are not motivated.  That is huge sum considering that targets of some are P6 to P7million
