It is important to make a sales pitch for the products that are being offered by your company. Know your products and advantages, and be willing to put out your limb so that others will buy/possess, own invest in your company's product so that cash will be generated so that your salaries will be paid.
But very few understand nor are willing to do so. In any business every body should sell even those at the back office.
I have seen employees who resigned and then sold fruits and other stuff and lacked the ability or the willingness to make an offer -a pitch. I wonder if early on they ended up with rotting fruits.
In some of the exercises group work we did at the Entrep GSB, every group who made a product was made to make a sales pitch
